Growth Community Manager
We’re looking for a Growth Community Manager to lead the charge in building an exciting, welcoming, and fast-growing home for our players.
This role is all about bringing gamers together, sparking conversations, organizing cool events, and making sure everyone feels like they belong. You’ll work closely with our marketing and support teams to attract new members, boost engagement, and turn our Discord into the place to be.
What you will do
- Nurture and grow the community by collaborating with our marketing and support teams to attract new players through social campaigns, partnerships, community crossovers, and events.
- Ensure our community is active; encouraging daily chatters, starting fun discussions, sharing polls, reacting with emojis, and creating an environment where members love to return and engage.
- Plan and host Q&As, game nights, giveaways, tournaments, and other activities that bring players together and drive excitement.
- Curate and post relevant updates, content, and announcements. Keep the community informed and entertained.
- Be the community’s voice. Gather insights and feedback and make sure our internal teams hear what matters to our players.
- Work with marketing and support teams to ensure community efforts align with our broader goals.
- Track engagement, member growth, and other key metrics to constantly refine and improve the players experience.
- Actively seek areas of improvement in our community presence, balancing between expanding our reach, being a “brand ambassador” in external communities, and keeping our existing community thrilled.
Role Requirements
- Experience in growing and managing communities across multiple platforms including Discord, Reddit and social media platforms, especially if they were Minecraft communities.
- Proven experience in managing or building vibrant Discord communities. You know the ins and outs of bots, and server structure. Bonus if that was within the game industry.
- Excellent communication skills, you know how to speak with anyone and break the ice, especially speaking to a large audience with a variety of different kinds of people (in our Discord of 500,000 users). As well as internally to effectively collaborate across teams and drive projects from concept to completion.
- Proactive and full of ideas, with the confidence to experiment and the drive to make things happen.
- Team-oriented, enjoy being part of a collaborative team and eager to contribute to achieving shared goals.
- Bonus: You’re active in Minecraft Java or modding communities — or have a special passion for building niche game communities.
- Bonus: You know the ins and outs of Minecraft, and know how to set-up, maintain, and create engaging in-game activities.
- Bonus: Experience in managing Minecraft server communities.
